Change Counter is maintained by a small team that reads every message. The most useful ones are short and concrete: what you were counting, what you expected, and what appeared instead. Vague reports usually turn into a round of questions before anything can improve, which slows down the fix for everyone else too.

We aim to reply to genuine inquiries within two business days.
Reporting a calculator fault
Tell us the browser and version, the device, the currency you had selected, and the exact sequence that produced the wrong behaviour. If a total looked incorrect, include the quantities you entered so we can reproduce it. Screenshots help more than descriptions when something is misaligned or cut off.
Please keep sensitive material out of the message. We never need card numbers, banking credentials, account details or a real cash report that identifies a business, a branch or a member of staff. A stripped down example that reproduces the fault is always enough.
Suggesting a denomination change
Send the three letter currency code, whether the piece is a banknote or a coin, the face value, and a public source such as a central bank announcement. Circulation changes often: notes are withdrawn, new coins are issued, and some values run as both a note and a coin for years. Evidence lets us update a set responsibly rather than on a single report.
Check these first
Many messages resolve themselves in under a minute. Confirm the selected currency matches the cash on the table, then read each quantity back against its physical stack. Remember that the expected drawer figure never changes your counted total; it only produces the variance beside it. If a difference still refuses to explain itself, work through over or short causes and fixes or the common counting errors list before writing in.
Missing a saved count is almost always storage related rather than a fault. Entries live in one browser on one device, so clearing site data or moving to another machine will not carry them over. There is no server copy, which means we cannot restore a count for you.
What we cannot help with
Change Counter is a calculator, not an advisory service. We do not provide accounting, bookkeeping, tax, banking or legal guidance, and we cannot review your internal controls or tell you how to treat a specific variance in your books.
